An ebrary product specialist will explain what Extended Access is (in the respect of it being an added layer to strategic e‐book acquisition) and give a demo on the added value and functionality to ebrary customers. To sum up, Extended Access is a new service for titles purchased under a single‐user license. It reduces up‐front costs to the library, eliminates speculative purchases of multiple copies, and prevents turn‐aways when titles are in use. Eligible libraries may choose to manually or automatically upgrade to a multi‐user license (when available), purchase another copy of the book, or take a shortterm loan.
