Bill Matthews is responsible for the business development activities at HighWire including marketing, sales, and strategic partnership. In this role, Bill brings a well balanced pedigree of business practices to HighWire consisting of a consultative communication style, customer-focus approach, and a high degree of ethical standards. Bill has over 25 years of experience and progressive responsibility within the marketing research, online publishing, and information industries, including 16 years at A.C. Nielsen. He was voted the Nielsen Circle of Excellence award in two consecutive years due to phenomenal growth and customer satisfaction amongst his client base. Aware of the web's emergence as a viable new publishing medium, Bill joined I/PRO in 1996, the web's first website traffic verification service. As one of the company's original architects, he built, managed, and developed I/PROs Account Management and Sales organizations, eventually being appointed President until 2004 when the company changed ownership. Shortly after, Bill joined TACODA to launch their west coast operation and spent the last 4 years building the TACODA Audience Publisher Network which was acquired by AOL in October of 2007. Most recently, Bill ran business development for NetSeer, a web based technology company focused on understanding user intent within a semantic framework. Bill was a founding board member of the Bay Area Internet Group (BIG), a high caliber professional organization formed to help foster and promote the interactive/digital industry in the Bay Area.
