Leslie has been associated with library technical services since library school graduation, beginning as a cataloger and subsequently moving to companies that serve libraries including Coutts, UTLAS and Innovative Interfaces. In 2006 she retired from Innovative as VP of Worldwide Sales after 21 years with the company, primarily in the areas of sales, marketing and product management. In 2009, she was invited out of retirement to head up SkyRiver, the bibliographic utility for cataloging that is the focus of this program.
